- ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Thanks to all for the modified participation in drills/test. It has been odd to not have physical participation in the drills. Hopefully those that took the EMS and fire tests learned something new or refreshed their memories!
- In talking with Eastern Idaho Public Health, they are believers that we have not seen the spike yet. We all need to remember to do our part in making sure we are protecting ourselves and our families. In other words, KEEP WEARING YOUR PPE AND CONTINUE WITH VIGOROUS HAND WASHING AND SANITIZING!!
- We have had absolutely ZERO incidents of our people handling any reported/confirmed COVID patients. I have visited with EIPH and EIRMC reps and they would notify me if we have had any encounters.
- If any organization has needs for surgical masks, you can refer them to the office. We do have a limited supply that we can help with.
- Wildland fire season is upon us so make sure you are checking your gear. BLM is going to start housing in the Menan station near the end of May. They will not be structure fire responders and will only go out with us if we request them through dispatch. They can be dispatched for wildland type incidents or if a house fire is threatening to run into vegetation. They will be out at Menan during the daylight hours. Brent Mizzel (may be a familiar name to some) will be their immediate supervisor.
- The City of Rigby has given the green light to the high school rodeo to engage in their activities here. Therefore, we need event coverage every weekend until at least the end of the month. Please jump in and help if you can! They are following a strict policy about limited audiences and no food vendors.
