- What is the most important quality for a firefighter?
- A good firefighter possesses many valuable traits, including dedication, cooperation, flexibility, physical fitness, integrity and problem-solving skills. Employers want to know that you prioritize these qualities.
- As you have all been informed, we have now implemented the ImageTrend reporting system. I want all of you to understand the why behind this new system. So, sit back and read this through with an open mind. All fire and EMS reports are required to be submitted to the State of Idaho to receive recognition and credentialing. In the past, CFD Administration has transferred all the reports into two separate reporting programs. Imagine the time that takes! We have been using Firehouse for fire reports and payroll since the beginning of time. Firehouse is no longer supported, and the company has been sold. ImageTrend is the EMS report system that the State has purchased. So, as you do your EMS reports, if you do them correctly, they can be uploaded to the State seamlessly. CFD admin can check your reports, make sure the necessary boxes are filled in, correct any atrocious spelling errors, and submit them to the State of Idaho without complete duplication!!
If you don’t like ImageTrend and you think there is something better, just remember this; all State accepted programs are vetted by smart people who make recommendations after looking at numerous programs. All software is supposed to be the greatest and best! (Remember when fishing/hunting licenses went virtual?) So, as you learn this new system, and you will, this is why.
